Entwined Vines: The Year in Review and our Crowning Achievement

Entwined Vines, first nine (9) months in business, has been a roller coaster ride.

We officially opened our studio doors on Artfire.com March 25, 2010.   Since then we have learned that there is a lot more to selling online than posting a picture and waiting for someone to buy it.

A few of the things we have learned:

1.)  The difference between action/nature photography and still product photography.

2.)  SEO  -- search engine optimization

3.)  New marketing and promotion skills.

4.)  New creative techniques

5.)  How to blog

We have learned so much this last year that we couldn't possibly list everything with our writing a short novel.
While the roller coaster has had its ups and downs, we are ending the year having accomplished our  crowning achievement for thisyear.

Drum Roll Please...

Final decision was reached and we were notified yesterday.  Our application was processed and we were accepted to be a vendor at

Portland Saturday Market.

We are so excited, this is the largest continual run open air market in the United States.  Our first day of vending will be Saturday March 5, 2011.

Share your highlights for 2010, so we can all celebrate together?

Our Favorite Holiday's Movies and

When I started writing I was only going to talk about our favorite Christmas Holiday movies that we like.  Then I found this fascinating article put out by Newsweek, where someone has decided what your personality traits really are based on what Christmas movie is your favorite.   I thought it was a fun read and keeping within my realm of light reading this month.   Though I have still included a list of some of our top choices for Holiday Christmas movies, that we like.

Newsweek Article:
I like most of them, I wonder what they would say that means, he he

A few of our Favorites, in no particular order:

Miracle on 34th Street ---  Must be the original 1947 flick, not a remake.

A Charlie Brown Christmas  ---
What holiday would be complete without Charlie Brown and the gang.

The Santa Claus Series   ---  We all need a good chuckle this time of year.

The Year Without a Santa Claus --- The Miser brothers, need I say more...

White Christmas  ---  Holiday's, helping those is need & a love story, all rolled in one

The Grinch --- The animated cartoon

The Grinch --- The movie

This is by no means a complete list of our favorites, but should give you ideas for some family entertainment.

What are some of your favorite Holiday Christmas Movies?
