This year when you look for Portland Saturday Market, if you miss the sign while driving that is in the background of this picture, no worries. The moon drops sign, which usually has a crowd of people around it is easy to spot, so you know you are in the right spot.
The Market is in a split location. It encompasses Ankeny Square, which starts from Natio Parkway. The picture above reflects the usual and most consistent view from Natio. Then we are also straight across the street. While we are split between two areas Portland Saturday Market does not expand across the Max tracks.
Straight across the street from Moondrops, after you cross the street with a walk sign of course, you will find the red information booth. You can't miss it, I actually refer to it as the red caboose by the crosswalk. They have everything in that booth it seems like. Ok, may be not everything, but the most important thing they have is a map of where each vendor is located for the day. Sometimes they even post it on the outside of the booth. They have other fun things that tourists might find helpful, like a map of local attractions and upcoming events.
The market as a whole attempts to create a fun artisan market, that is pleasing to shoppers to keep them coming back again and again. After all with all this fun available, Portland Saturday Market is a collaboration of small artisan business owners.
