We were actually amazed last year that we found gluten free (gf) options. It was easy to eliminate some, try others and narrow the options of availability down. Here are two of our favorites.
One is Old Town Burgers. While not grass fed beef, it is all beef with no additives and they have no problem leaving the bun off for us. Some of the options available include a basic hamburger, cheese burger, bacon burger, and swiss cheese and mushroom burger.
Homemade hamburger sauce that is gluten free (gf) on the side with fresh lettuce, tomato and onions. Fairly Paleo, right up until you add the homemade fries. They cut them and deep fry, no coating, yummm....
Street taco's at their best. They offer both chicken and beef. They will even allow you to do a plate of taco filling without the taco shells, for a Paleo friendly option. They have the option of taco's by themselves or a plate, which includes two tacos, rice and beans. Served with a wedge of lime to squeeze on your taco's, which only improves them.
Yes, Portland Saturday Market tries to have options for everyone, come check them out and let us know what you think?
For those of you not limited to gluten free (gf) or Paleo, I am working on featuring the other food vendors. It is a little bit more challenging to write a review when I am not able to eat their food, but it is in the works, so stay tuned.
